HSE Engineer

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements across all maritime construction and supervision activities within the AE013718‑T&I‑01 AE Maritime department. This role ensures that all marine and offshore operations meet project specifications, UAE regulations, international standards, and WSP’s internal HSE policies while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among all personnel.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Minimum 13 years of HSE experience in maritime, offshore, or marine construction environments. Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, civil defense regulations, and IMO guidelines. Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits. Excellent communication and training delivery skills in English; Arabic is a plus. Proficiency with HSE management software and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to work on offshore sites and obtain necessary medical clearances. Demonstrated leadership in fostering a safety‑first culture among diverse teams. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as project demands require.
