Manager, Treasury Technology

Job Purpose As a member of the Technology Team, the incumbent will lead, plan, direct, and execute a treasury technology transformation program across Trading Cluster. Of vital importance is the implementation of Integral, LSEG, XLR8, Meta Trader and Trade Net . Digitization initiatives of Treasury Technology will be another area of vital importance applicable for Trading Cluster. Ideal candidate will bring in depth knowledge of Banking/Treasury, particularly in the areas of products implementations for large-scale program implementations. Key Result Areas Collaborate with leadership within Mashreq’s Treasury and Corporate and Investment Banking to support the digital transformation strategy. Contribute towards the development of the cluster strategy and lead the effective implementation of the approved strategies and plans to ensure achievement of business objectives. Define the delivery roadmap and implementation timelines across Trading area of Treasury Technology digital transformation initiatives. Build the internal organizational capabilities and frameworks to enable the cluster to adopt rapid deployment techniques utilizing agile or similar methodologies. Manage and oversee the comprehensive cluster wide digital transformation and programs implementations approved budgets. Recommend and implement improvements to cluster policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the assigned unit activity so that all relevant requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality and cost-effective solutions. Manage stakeholder relationships across all groups within Mashreq Bank ensuring alignment to common objectives and fulfillment of criteria and requirements across the various businesses and units. Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement. Serve as a “Change Champion”, responsible for the realization of the Trading for treasury technology transformation vision both internally and externally. Job Holder needs to interact with TCM Trading desk to understand the requirement. One also must review and agree the proposed solution with users. One is also expected to analyze various solutions from the market and propose to the users to help grow business. One is also expected to interact with other group to resolve the problems as needed. Job Holder has the authority to take decisions to run the business for Trading Cluster from technology side. Knowledge, Skills and Experience BS/B.Tech Degree, MS/M.Tech. preferred. More than 12 years of experience in similar role with concrete evidence of direct management of complex end-to-end systems implementations of Programs. Expert knowledge of new trends in the Market as they relate to Technology and experience in implementations of these Treasury and wealth technology solutions. Expert in implementations methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and in the usage of reporting and tracking tools. Cross-border and cross-functional team management experience. A unique blend of technology acumen and strong business orientation and domain knowledge to champion and promote user requirements. Strong organizational, team building and leadership qualities. Strong Program management and general management skills. Driven towards the achievement of tangible goals and results with a focus on realization of value and the larger business case. Commercially focused with the ability to align business strategy with technology capabilities. Superior organizational, analytical, and presentation capabilities. Deep knowledge and experience in stakeholder and vendor management. Candidate should have front office treasury experience along with market data ( LSEG, Bloomberg, ICE ) and other multi dealer platform like Integral, FXALL, XLR8 etc. Current on new technology, standards, protocols, and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment. Well versed in digital technologies, including cloud strategy, automation, and key technology / vendor solutions. Firsthand knowledge of new digital trends such as open APIs, microservices, and open/closed ecosystems.

BS/B.Tech degree, MS/M.Tech preferred. More than 12 years of experience in a similar role with concrete evidence of direct management of complex end-to-end systems implementations of programs. Expert knowledge of new trends in technology related to treasury and wealth technology solutions. Expert in implementation methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) and in the usage of reporting and tracking tools. Cross-border and cross-functional team management experience. Front office treasury experience with market data (LSEG, Bloomberg, ICE) and multi-dealer platforms (Integral, FXALL, XLR8). Knowledge of cloud strategy, automation, open APIs, microservices, and related digital technologies. Strong business orientation with ability to align technology with broader business goals.

Lead, plan, direct, and execute a treasury technology transformation program across the Trading Cluster, including implementation of Integral, LSEG, XLR8, MetaTrader and Trade Net; drive digitization initiatives for Treasury Technology within Trading Cluster. Define delivery roadmaps and timelines; build internal capabilities to enable rapid deployment using Agile or similar methodologies. Manage the cluster's digital transformation programs and approved budgets; enforce policies, procedures, and controls to deliver quality and cost-effective solutions. Manage stakeholder relationships across Mashreq Bank; identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes. Serve as Change Champion for the treasury technology transformation vision; interact with the trading desk to understand requirements, review proposed solutions with users, and evaluate market solutions. Review and coordinate with other groups to resolve issues; have decision-making authority to run the technology side of the Trading Cluster.
