Charge Nurse - Medical

Provides professional leadership and supervises nursing staff throughout the shift. Acts as a role model, mentor, and resource for clinical and administrative guidance. Ensures safe staffing levels and appropriate patient‑to‑nurse ratios based on acuity. Supports staff in clinical decision‑making, conflict resolution, and prioritization of workload. Provides constructive feedback, coaching, and performance support to the team. Leads the unit in the absence of the Nurse Manager, ensuring continuity of operations. Practices within regulatory scope and adheres to DOH and organizational policies. Supports competency development and education for junior staff and new hires. Maintains mandatory and medical‑unit–specific competencies. Participates in clinical audits, research, and evidence‑based initiatives. Demonstrates ongoing development in leadership and medical-unit management.

Bachelor Degree in Nursing; or Associate degree in Nursing from Canada or USA with minimum two (2) years course duration and Successful completion of the National exam: ✓ USA: NCLEX - RN ✓ Canada: Licensing Exam DOH License or Eligibility
