The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with organizational policies and unit scope of service. The nurse ensures timely and accurate documentation, effective use of Malaffi, and adherence to evidence‑based practices. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, initiating appropriate interventions, escalating care when needed, and ensuring safe medication administration following all regulatory and SEHA guidelines. The role requires active participation in discharge planning, referrals, patient advocacy, and the promotion of service excellence in a multicultural healthcare environment. The Staff Nurse is accountable for practicing within their scope of competence, complying with health and safety regulations, and reporting medication errors or adverse events as per policy. The nurse is also expected to respond to emergencies, contribute to organizational development initiatives, and uphold SEHA’s core values and guiding principles.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing; or Associate degree in Nursing from Canada or USA with minimum two (2) years course duration and Successful completion of the National exam: ✓ USA: NCLEX - RN ✓ Canada: Licensing Exam DOH License or Eligibility Minimum two (2) years clinical experience post qualification in Surgical unit
