Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, A Properties Co. W.L.L . The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the hotel and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timely reporting of financial information in accordance with Marriott International policies, procedures, and internal control standards. Manage and review core accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closing, accruals, and journal entries. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, supported, and reconciled within established deadlines. Monitor hotel revenues, expenses, and financial performance, providing meaningful analysis of budget and forecast variances to support management decision-making. Assist the Director of Finance with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis. Maintain effective financial controls and ensure compliance with Marriott standards, applicable accounting principles, statutory requirements, and audit procedures. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and financial discrepancies. Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team by establishing clear responsibilities, maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability, and supporting continuous improvement in finance processes. Work closely with the General Manager, Director of Finance, Executive Committee, department heads, and hotel leadership to provide reliable financial information and support the overall financial performance of the property. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within a luxury or international hotel environment. Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting role, with strong knowledge of hotel finance operations. Strong understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and internal controls. Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial policies, and applicable statutory requirements. Experience with hotel finance systems and accounting software; knowledge of Marriott systems and procedures is an advantage. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict financial reporting deadlines. Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
