Cloud Platform Operations Manager

Overview The Cloud Platform Operations Manager leads cloud operations to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing environments across platforms like GCP and OCI, while driving efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement in collaboration with IT and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Manage and optimize cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Lead cloud operations teams to ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance Monitor cloud infrastructure and implement proactive measures to prevent incidents Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution processes Ensure cloud security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained Manage cloud cost optimization and resource utilization strategies Develop and enforce operational best practices, policies, and procedures Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and IT teams for deployment and scaling Implement automation tools and CI/CD pipelines for operational efficiency Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 7 years of experience in IT operations or cloud infrastructure Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (GCP or OCI preferred) Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and system architecture Experience with monitoring and logging tools Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes #LI-DNI
