Software Automation Engineer

We're currently looking for a Software Automation Engineer to join a global Cisco-focused team, driving the design and delivery of advanced automation solutions across enterprise-scale networking environments. What You'll Be Doing • Design and implement network automation solutions using Cisco NSO and related technologies • Develop integrations using REST APIs, RESTConf, Kong API Gateway, Kafka, and database technologies • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define automation strategies and roadmaps • Build and optimise automation workflows using Python • Drive adoption of NetDevOps, Agile delivery, and CI/CD best practices using Jenkins, Git, and Jira • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams • Work with modern virtualization and containerisation technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, ESXi, and KVM • Deliver scalable, reliable, and interoperable automation solutions across complex Cisco environments What We're Looking For • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and advanced network technologies • Proven experience with Cisco Network Automation platforms • Expertise in network automation and systems integration • Advanced Python development skills • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Strong knowledge of DevOps and NetDevOps practices • Experience working within Agile environments • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
