Electrical QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across electrical works within luxury design & build and construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure all electrical installations, materials and site activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and relevant UAE regulations. The role will involve working closely with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors and other project teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction and installation process. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement and monitor project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures for all electrical works. • Review electrical drawings, specifications, material submittals and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements. • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor electrical installation works and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. • Inspect electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, cabling, earthing, grounding and low-current systems. • Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements and Inspection Requests (IRs). • Carry out inspections and testing at various stages of installation, ensuring all works meet required quality standards. • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and site teams to address quality-related issues and technical discrepancies. • Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed out. • Monitor the quality of electrical materials and equipment delivered to site, ensuring they meet approved specifications and standards. • Ensure electrical works comply with applicable UAE regulations, DEWA requirements, Civil Defence standards and relevant international codes. • Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, testing records and quality checklists. • Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure electrical systems are properly tested, commissioned and handed over. • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained. • Support project handover by ensuring all quality documentation, test certificates, as-built drawings and O&M manuals are completed. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. • Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical QA/QC within construction, contracting or Design & Build environments. • Strong experience working on large-scale residential, commercial or luxury construction projects. • Extensive knowledge of electrical installations, testing, inspection and commissioning. • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, ISO 9001, ITPs, NCRs and method statements. • Good knowledge of UAE electrical regulations, DEWA standards, Civil Defence requirements and relevant international standards. • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and project documentation. • Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and project management teams. • Strong reporting, problem-solving and communication skills. • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage quality requirements across multiple project stages.
