Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary Seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing. The candidate should have strong expertise in Manual Testing, API Testing, and hands-on experience with Playwright automation using TypeScript/JavaScript. Must be capable of designing comprehensive test scenarios, managing defects, reviewing automation scripts, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring software quality throughout the SDLC/STLC. ISTQB Foundation certification is required. Experience: • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing. • Strong experience in Manual Testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing. • Strong experience in API Testing, including REST APIs and Web Services. • Strong experience in defect reporting, investigation, retesting, and root-cause analysis. • Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar API testing tools. • Experience with defect/project management tools such as Jira. Requirements: • Strong ability to analyze business and technical requirements and identify missing requirements, risks, and edge cases. • Ability to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases, covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge cases. • Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, JSON/XML, and API request/response validation. • Good hands-on knowledge of Playwright automation using TypeScript/JavaScript. • Ability to review test cases and automation code created by other QA engineers. • Ability to create, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test scripts and understand automation framework structure. • Good hands-on knowledge of Playwright automation using TypeScript/JavaScript. • Ability to create, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test scripts and understand automation framework structure. • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and the Software Development/Test Life Cycle (SDLC/STLC). • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze logs, API responses, database records, and application behavior. • Familiarity with Git and source-control platforms such as GitHub or Bitbucket. Design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases; execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing; manage defects, perform retesting and root-cause analysis; review automation scripts and participate in maintaining and troubleshooting automated test scripts and the automation framework; work with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI) and Playwright automation using TypeScript/JavaScript; collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams across the SDLC/STLC.
