Technical Architect Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Type: Permanent / Full-Time Seniority: Senior Technical Leadership Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of enterprise-scale digital platforms. The successful candidate will combine deep hands-on engineering expertise with strong architectural leadership to design secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions across modern technology ecosystems. This role requires an individual who can define architecture strategy, guide engineering teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of high-quality technology solutions that support business growth and digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Solution & Enterprise Architecture • Define end-to-end architecture for enterprise applications, platforms, and digital products. • Produce architecture designs, technical specifications, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements. • Lead architecture decision-making and establish technical standards across projects. • Evaluate technology options, vendor solutions, and implementation approaches. • Balance architecture trade-offs across security, scalability, performance, maintainability, and cost. • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and data governance standards. Technical Leadership • Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. • Support engineering teams with solution design, code quality, best practices, and technical problem solving. • Drive adoption of modern engineering methodologies including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Test Automation, and Cloud-Native development. • Conduct technical reviews, architecture governance, and mentoring activities. • Lead proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and innovation initiatives. Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Security, and Delivery teams. • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Support project estimation, planning, budgeting, and technology roadmaps. • Communicate architecture strategy and technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Act as a trusted advisor for emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives. Security & Quality • Embed Security-by-Design and Privacy-by-Design principles into all solutions. • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security frameworks. • Drive engineering excellence through Clean Code, SOLID principles, test automation, and continuous improvement. Required Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. • 10+ years of software engineering and solution architecture experience. • Proven track record designing and delivering high-volume, enterprise-grade digital platforms. • Experience leading architecture and technology delivery across large-scale transformation programs. • Previous experience working within cloud-native and distributed systems environments.
