Job Description GEMS Cambridge High School Abu Dhabi is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Business Studies & Economics Cover Teacher to join our Secondary School team on a 2-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, ensuring continuity of learning, and maintaining high academic standards while covering a temporary staff absence. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Business Studies and Economics to students in Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (IGCSE and AS/A Level). • Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with curriculum requirements and school expectations. • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support achievement. • Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and student records. • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic success. • Uphold GEMS Education policies, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and health and safety procedures. • Participate in departmental meetings, parent communication, and school activities as required during the contract period. Skills Description • Relevant valid qualifications as per ADEK • Bachelor’s degree in Education (MOFA Attested & with Equivalency) • Subject qualification - Major in Business/Economics • Certified teaching qualification (TLS) or Diploma in Teaching • IELTS/ English medium of Instruction letter from University • At least 2 years’ Teaching Experience • A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and beyond the classroom. • Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents • A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning GEMS Safeguarding GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
