About the role
We are looking for a commercially minded, hands-on Finance & Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of a growing business in Dubai. This is a broad, standalone management role covering finance and accounting, HR and payroll administration, office operations and UAE regulatory compliance. The successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of the company's back-office functions, managing financial processes independently while also overseeing employee administration, government-related formalities and general business operations. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in small to medium-sized organisations or entrepreneurial business environments, where they have been responsible for multiple corporate functions rather than operating within a specialised department. Key Responsibilities 1. Finance & Financial Management • Oversee the company's day-to-day finance and accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations. • Manage monthly financial closing and prepare management accounts, financial statements and MIS reports. • Monitor budgets, cash flow, expenditure and working capital. • Manage VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, including coordination with external tax advisors where required. • Coordinate annual audits, banking requirements and financial documentation. • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure appropriate financial controls. 2. HR & Employee Administration • Oversee the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding and employee documentation. • Manage monthly payroll, WPS, leave records, employee benefits and end-of-service calculations. • Coordinate employee visas, Emirates ID applications, renewals and related government formalities. • Ensure HR processes and employment practices comply with UAE Labour Law. • Support recruitment coordination and general employee-related matters. 3. Business Administration & Regulatory Compliance • Manage trade license renewals and ongoing UAE Free Zone compliance requirements. • Liaise with Free Zone authorities, government departments, banks and external service providers. • Oversee office administration, procurement, vendor contracts and general operational requirements. • Manage company documentation, registrations, renewals and statutory records. • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and operational efficiency. Candidate Profile • 8–12 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within an SME, growing business or privately owned organization. • Demonstrated experience managing finance, HR administration and general business operations within the same organization. • Strong accounting and financial management knowledge, including management accounts, reconciliations, cash flow and financial reporting. • Practical experience with UAE payroll, WPS, VAT and Corporate Tax. • Previous exposure to UAE Free Zone operations, trade license renewals and employee visa processes. • Good understanding of UAE Labor Law and corporate compliance requirements. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities and deal directly with senior management and external authorities. • Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills. Important This is an integrated Finance & Operations role, not a specialized accounting or HR position. The successful candidate must demonstrate hands-on experience across finance, employee administration and business operations. Location: Dubai, UAE Salary: Up to AED 11000 per month + Standard UAE benefits Interested candidates who have managed multiple corporate functions within a UAE business are encouraged to apply. #FinanceManager #FinanceAndOperations #BusinessOperations #FinanceJobs #DubaiJobs #UAEJobs #FreeZone #ManagementAccounting #Payroll #CorporateCompliance
