Construction Contracts & Commercial Manager – Head of Department

Avsar Global HR Consultancy is hiring on behalf of a client for an experienced Construction Contracts & Commercial Manager – Head of Department for a leading construction company in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have strong contractor-side high-rise construction experience, with proven expertise in arbitration, claims management, dispute resolution, and commercial leadership. Key Responsibilities ▸ Manage construction arbitration cases, claims, and dispute resolution. ▸ Oversee EOT, prolongation claims, variations, and contractual entitlements. ▸ Lead the Contracts and Commercial Department across multiple projects. ▸ Manage FIDIC contracts, subcontracts, negotiations, and commercial risks. ▸ Oversee quantity surveying, cost control, tendering, estimation, and project profitability. Requirements ▸ 12–15 years of construction experience, including 7+ years in senior management. ▸ Practical construction arbitration experience - mandatory. ▸ Contractor-side experience in high-rise buildings exceeding 20 floors is mandatory. ▸ Proven experience leading commercial teams and managing multiple projects. ▸ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. ▸ Strong FIDIC, claims management, QS, and cost control expertise. ▸ British English speaker required, with excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. ▸ Candidates must currently be based in the UAE. Please note: Candidates without practical arbitration and contractor-side high-rise construction experience will not be considered. Salary: AED 50,000–70,000 (Negotiable) Industry: Construction / Building Contracting
