About The Team talabat’s DMart network spans 860+ dark stores and 31 distribution centres across eight MENA markets. We are launching a new domain out of our Dubai Global Tech Hub to bring intelligence to how that network operates: predicting demand, optimising stock movement, and catching problems before they surface. This applies to how we build systems, communicate with each other, etc Quality enables Speed: we adhere to XP, Lean, and Continuous Delivery practices to deliver value with the highest quality/security in a sustainable way Product-minded Engineers: we all have a good understanding of our business & customer problems to minimize costly hand-overs and ensure we solve problems more effectively, and faster Job Description Role summary • Alongside other engineers and members of your team (product, data), participate in continuous discovery of your customer/business needs/desires/problems to drive desired outcomes • With guidance from other engineers, design, write and release software as a solution to an end-to-end problem in your business domain and deliver value in small batches in accordance with our engineering standards • Understand scalability & complexity of your services • Participate in optimization of your team’s practices to develop it into a self-organized, continuously improving unit • Seek mentorship to become a product engineer capable of solving a business problem, end-to-end Qualifications • Empathetic and able to easily build relationships with other engineers • Good verbal and written communication skills • Humble, curious, and open-minded with a growth mindset, thriving on continuous feedback • Good knowledge of foundational software engineering with some software development experience, preferably with .NET, Golang or C# programming languages • Exposed to testing with focus on automated end to end quality • Understands basics of Distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful Services) • Understands basics of relational and nonrelational databases as well as cloud platforms (e.g.AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field (preferred). Good knowledge of foundational software engineering with some software development experience, preferably with .NET, Golang or C# programming languages. Exposed to testing with focus on automated end to end quality. Understands basics of Distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful Services). Understands basics of relational and nonrelational databases as well as cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Empathetic with strong communication, growth mindset and ability to build relationships.
