Reliability Engineer - Gasification & Power Generation Experience

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, efficiency, and safety of equipment and systems used in gasification and power generation operations. The role focuses on implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, investigating equipment failures, analyzing performance data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance. If selected, the work location would be onsite at Jizan, Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities • Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize equipment failures and unplanned downtime. • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure investigations to identify and address recurring equipment issues. • Analyze equipment performance data, maintenance records, and reliability trends to recommend improvements. • Apply reliability methodologies such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment availability and operational efficiency. • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and industry standards. • Prepare reliability reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for stakeholders. • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using reliability tools and emerging technologies. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. • 5-8 years of relevant experience in reliability engineering or maintenance management, preferably within the energy, gasification, power generation, or industrial sector. • Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles, maintenance strategies, and equipment performance optimization. • Experience with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis and thermography is an advantage. • Knowledge of reliability methodologies, including RCA, RCM, FMEA, and TPM. • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and reliability analysis tools. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and reporting skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Reliability-related certifications such as CRE or CMRP are an added advantage.
