About the role

JOB PURPOSE Lead and coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities for third-party manufactured parts, ensuring that products meet approved drawings, technical specifications, and operational requirements. The role oversees inspection activities, supplier quality issues, non-conformance resolution, product traceability, and quality documentation. It requires sound technical judgement, planning, and the ability to guide stakeholders in achieving quality objectives. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Plan and oversee visual and 100% dimensional inspections of machined products and raw materials to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications. • Coordinate quality control activities for incoming goods, in-process manufacturing, and finished products. • Review supplier documentation and certifications to confirm that incoming goods meet applicable technical requirements. • Lead the identification, documentation, investigation, and closure of internal and supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs). • Coordinate containment, corrective actions, and follow-up to prevent recurrence of quality issues. • Provide weekly NCR status updates to the Technical and QHSSE Managers, escalating significant risks or delays. • Maintain part identification, status control, and traceability throughout goods receipt, production, and final release. • Oversee the inspection, calibration, maintenance, and recordkeeping of measurement and test equipment. • Prepare inspection reports for equipment requiring refurbishment, including recommended repair or rework actions. • Review and prepare tool-body document packs and certificates of conformity, ensuring all supporting records are complete. • Compile, verify, and maintain manufacturing data packs, including relevant inspection records and certifications; ensure they are scanned into the appropriate databases. • Use and guide others in the use of manual and electronic inspection equipment. • Maintain accurate, controlled, and readily retrievable quality records. • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and support production requirements. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES Education: Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification. Certification: Certified Quality Inspector. Preferred certifications: Certified Quality Technician (CQT); ASME GDTP (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional). Experience: At least five years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in machining, manufacturing, or supplier quality.
