Interested candidates send me your CV to [email protected] Title : Payment Project Manager Duration : 1 Year Extend Location : Dubai Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Payment Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic banking and payment transformation initiatives across the GCC region. The ideal candidate will bring strong payment-domain expertise, proven delivery leadership, and the ability to coordinate business, operations, technology, vendors, and external partners. The role will ensure projects are executed with robust governance, regulatory alignment, operational readiness, and measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end payment and banking transformation projects across business, operations, technology, vendors, regulators, and external partners. • Drive project planning, execution, governance, budgeting, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, and delivery within agreed timelines. • Coordinate and mentor cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear ownership, timely decisions, and effective collaboration across workstreams. • Oversee payment system implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and modernization initiatives. Required Experience • 10+ years of overall experience, including at least 8 years in project management with significant exposure to banking and payment initiatives. • Proven experience delivering payment-related projects within banks or financial institutions. • Strong understanding of domestic and cross-border payments, clearing and settlement, SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, instant payments, ISO 20022, and payment channels. • Experience in Core Banking implementations, upgrades, migrations, carve-outs, or large-scale transformation programs. Preferred Skills & Competencies • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and team coordination skills. • Good understanding of banking operations, payment processing, financial services, and regulatory expectations. • Excellent documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. • Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies. • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification is an added advantage. Good to Have • Knowledge of GCC payment ecosystems, schemes, regulatory frameworks, clearing arrangements, and market practices. • Exposure to UAE and regional payment infrastructures, including instant payments, RTGS, ACH, domestic clearing, and cross-border payment services. • Experience with payment hubs or platforms such as Oracle Flexcube , Oracle Banking • Knowledge of cloud-based banking and payment modernization initiatives. Candidate Profile The preferred candidate will combine strong project delivery capability with practical banking and payments knowledge. GCC payments experience is highly desirable, along with the ability to confidently engage senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and drive complex transformation initiatives from planning through stabilization.
