Director General Services

A leading organization in Qatar is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, General Services to lead the planning, management, and continuous improvement of corporate support services across the organization. This executive leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of administrative services, facilities management, workplace operations, transportation, accommodation, and other shared services that support business objectives and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement the overall General Services strategy aligned with organizational objectives. • Lead and oversee facilities management, workplace services, transportation, accommodation, office administration, and support functions. • Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and cost optimization initiatives across all general services activities. • Establish policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure effective service delivery and compliance. • Manage strategic relationships with service providers, contractors, and external stakeholders. • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for General Services operations. • Lead major facilities, infrastructure, and workplace enhancement projects. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and regulatory requirements. • Develop and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. Ideal Candidate Profile • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced qualifications are preferred. • Extensive leadership experience managing General Services, Corporate Services, Facilities Management, Administration, or Shared Services functions. • Proven track record of leading large-scale operational and support services within complex organizations. • Strong strategic planning, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership capabilities. • Experience managing large budgets, service contracts, and vendor relationships. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to lead transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
