About the role

About Us Lifera Omics is a next‑generation precision medicine laboratory built to deliver high‑complexity multiomics diagnostics at scale. Our mission is to redefine clinical omics in the region through cutting‑edge technology, rigorous quality systems, and world‑class scientific leadership. We are expanding our clinical reporting capabilities and seeking an ABMGG Board‑Certified Molecular Geneticist to join our multidisciplinary team of clinical scientists, bioinformaticians, and medical geneticists. Role Overview The successful candidate will play a central role in clinical reporting, variant interpretation, and quality oversight across our advanced multi‑omics platforms, including whole‑genome sequencing, exome sequencing, RNA‑seq, methylation profiling, and targeted NGS assays. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most advanced precision medicine ecosystems in the Middle East. Key Responsibilities • Provide clinical interpretation and sign‑out of high‑complexity molecular genetic tests (WGS, WES, targeted NGS, CNV, RNA‑seq, etc.). • Apply ACMG/AMP, ClinGen, and CAP/CLIA‑aligned standards for variant classification and reporting. • Collaborate with clinical geneticists, bioinformaticians, and laboratory directors to ensure accurate, timely, and high‑quality reports. • Participate in assay validation, quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Contribute to development of new diagnostic assays and multi‑omics reporting frameworks. • Support multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical consultations. • Mentor junior scientists and contribute to professional development within the genomics team. Qualifications • ABMGG Board Certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) is required. • MD, PhD, or equivalent terminal degree in genetics, molecular biology, or related field. • Demonstrated expertise in clinical variant interpretation and genomic diagnostics. • Experience in high‑throughput NGS workflows; multi‑omics experience is a plus. • Strong understanding of CAP/CLIA or equivalent accreditation standards. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Why Join Us? • Work in one of the region’s most advanced precision medicine laboratories. • Contribute to large‑scale national genomics initiatives. • Engage with cutting‑edge multi‑omics technologies and high‑impact clinical programs. • Competitive compensation and opportunities for leadership growth.
