Full-Stack Java Developer (Angular 22 + Quarkus) – Riyadh, KSA

About the role: EVOLTEC is hiring a Full-Stack Java Developer to join a strategic enterprise program in Riyadh. You will be part of a delivery team building and modernizing mission-critical business applications on a modern cloud-native stack: Angular on the frontend, Quarkus on the backend, Kafka for event streaming, and Red Hat OpenShift as the runtime platform. This is a hands-on engineering role. You will own features end to end, from user interface and API design through to automated pipelines and production deployment. You will work in an agile team alongside architects, QA engineers and business stakeholders, and you will be expected to contribute to code quality, technical decisions and delivery standards. The role is full time and 100% onsite in Riyadh, working directly at the client's premises. An immediate start is preferred. Responsibilities: • Design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Angular 22+ • Build scalable, cloud-native backend services and REST APIs using Quarkus • Implement event-driven integrations with Kafka as producer and consumer • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and deliver releases through Argo CD (GitOps) • Containerize, deploy and run applications on Red Hat OpenShift, using Istio service mesh for traffic management and security • Design data models and write efficient, optimized SQL • Write unit and integration tests and take part in code reviews • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the frontend, backend and deployment layers • Collaborate with architects, QA and business teams to translate requirements into production-ready features Requirements: • 5+ years of professional software development experience • Hands-on, recent experience with Angular 22 or later (mandatory) • Production experience with Java and Quarkus (mandatory) • Experience integrating Kafka in production applications • Experience with Tekton and Argo CD • Experience deploying applications on OpenShift; exposure to Istio • Strong SQL skills • Fluent Arabic and professional English • Able to work 100% onsite in Riyadh Preferred: • Currently based in Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama • Experience in banking, government or other regulated environments • Notice period of 30 days or less Important: This is an application development role. Candidates with a platform, infrastructure or cluster-administration background only will not be considered. Backend experience must be Java-based; profiles with .NET or Node.js backend experience only will not be considered.
