AI Product Owner in Banking Domain

We have an urgent requirement for AI Product Owner in Banking Domain (Preferred ) is required for our banking client in Oman Strong knowledge of AI Product Management, Agile/Scrum, stakeholder management, business case development, analytics, and tools such as Jira/Azure DevOps.--MustDefine and execute AI product roadmap aligned with digital transformation goals.--MustIdentify opportunities for AI, Generative AI, ML, and automation to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.--MustManage AI product lifecycle from discovery, requirements gathering, backlog management, testing, deployment, and enhancements.--MustEnsure AI solutions comply with governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.--Must SummaryResponsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the bank’s Artificial Intelligence product portfolio. The role bridges business and technology by translating strategic objectives into AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business value. The AI Product Owner works closely with business stakeholders, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Technology teams, and external partners to develop, implement and continuously enhance AI products while ensuring alignment with the bank’s digital transformation strategy, governance framework and regulatory requirements. ResponsibilitiesStrategic • Define and execute the AI product roadmap in alignment with the bank’s digital transformation strategy and business objectives. • Identify business opportunities where AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and automation can improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and decision-making. • Develop business cases, product vision, success metrics, and value realization plans for AI products. • Engage with business stakeholders to understand challenges and prioritize AI initiatives based on business value and strategic impact. Operational • Monitor emerging AI technologies, market trends, and regulatory developments to drive continuous innovation. • Collaborate with AI Engineers, Data Scientists, UX Designers, Solution Architects, and Technology teams throughout the product lifecycle. • Own and manage the AI product backlog, defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature priorities. • Lead product discovery, requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance, deployment, and post-implementation reviews. • Monitor product performance using KPIs, user feedback, and analytics, implementing enhancements where required. • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product demonstrations. • Coordinate pilot programs, proof of concepts (PoCs), and AI solution rollouts across business units. • Ensure AI products are scalable, user-centric, and integrated with existing enterprise systems. • Ensure AI products comply with the bank’s governance framework, cybersecurity standards, data privacy requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. • Prepare executive reports, product updates, and presentations for governance committees and senior management. Compliance • Promote responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, explainability, and ethical use of AI. • Ensure proper documentation of business requirements, product decisions, model governance, and audit trails. • Support internal and external audits related to AI products and digital initiatives. • Ensure compliance with project governance, change management, and risk management frameworks. Experiences • 5-8 years of experience in Product Management, Digital Transformation, Business Analysis, AI Product Management, or Technology Delivery. • At least 2-3 years of experience managing AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or data-driven digital products. • Proven experience working in Agile environments and leading cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions. • Experience in banking or financial services with exposure to AI use cases such as intelligent automation, customer analytics, fraud detection, or conversational AI is preferred.
