Data Center Procurement Specialist Location: Bahrain (Visa Sponsorship Available) Travel: Middle East & Central Asia Region Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity We are partnering with a leading global technology organisation to recruit a Data Center Procurement Specialist to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects across the Middle East and Central Asia. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with experience in data center infrastructure, critical facilities, or major engineering projects to join a highly regarded international team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving procurement strategy, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and contract execution across a diverse portfolio of regional projects. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end procurement activities for data center infrastructure and engineering services. • Develop sourcing strategies, procurement plans, and category management initiatives. • Conduct supplier sourcing, qualification, evaluation, and performance management activities. • Lead commercial negotiations and contract management processes to achieve optimal commercial outcomes. • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, project management, legal, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery. • Monitor supplier markets, industry developments, and pricing trends to support strategic procurement decisions. • Support procurement governance, compliance, and reporting activities. Candidate Profile We are interested in hearing from professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas: • Data center procurement and supply chain management • Critical infrastructure procurement • Data center construction or facility delivery projects • Electrical, mechanical, or HVAC infrastructure procurement • EPC, mission-critical, or large-scale construction environments Experience working with the following technologies would be advantageous: • UPS Systems • Precision Cooling Solutions • Power Distribution Infrastructure • Diesel Generators • Fire Protection Systems • Physical Security Systems • Structured Cabling Solutions Knowledge of industry standards such as TIA-942 and Uptime Institute Tier Standards is highly desirable. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience. • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate in an international environment. • Willingness to relocate to Bahrain and travel across the Middle East and Central Asia as required.
