URGENT HIRING – Site Engineer (Civil / Architecture) Fixed-Term Project Contract | Abu Dhabi, UAE Contract Period: 15 November 2026 – 30 March 2027 (tentative, approx. 4.5 months) JOB SUMMARY • Position: Site Engineer (Civil / Architecture) • Client: Leading construction contractor (confidential) • Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (site-based) • Experience: 7+ years in construction site engineering • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture ABOUT THE ROLE Our client, an established contracting company in the UAE, is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join an upcoming project in Abu Dhabi on a fixed-term basis. You will own day-to-day site execution, which includes managing activities independently, planning ahead, coordinating subcontractors and resources, and keeping the works on programme. This is a hands-on role for a proactive engineer who anticipates constraints and resolves them before they affect progress. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Independently manage and supervise daily site activities in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards • Plan upcoming works (short-term look-ahead programmes) and sequence activities to meet project milestones • Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, equipment and materials to keep the site productive • Monitor progress against targets and the baseline programme; flag delays early and propose recovery actions • Prepare accurate daily progress reports covering manpower, equipment, work completed and issues • Anticipate site constraints (access, interfaces, materials, approvals) and resolve them with the project team • Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants and design team on technical queries, RFIs and site instructions • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and promote a safe working culture on site • Support inspections, quality checks and handover documentation for completed works REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture • Minimum 7 years of site engineering experience on building or construction projects • Proven ability to run site operations independently with minimal supervision • Strong experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and site resources • Solid understanding of construction programmes, progress tracking and site reporting • Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on attitude • Good command of English, written and spoken • Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD and/or Primavera P6 / MS Project is an advantage • UAE project experience and a valid UAE driving licence preferred • Available to join by mid-November 2026 for the full contract period Immediate joiners only.
