Contract Engineer - Civil

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university. Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers. Good knowledge of civil and structural design codes (ACI, AASHTO, BS/EN, SBC, etc.). Minimum Experience: 7 years of experience in civil/structural works for infrastructure, utilities, or industrial projects. Minimum 3 years in a head office/technical office environment (design review, quantity verification, contracts support). Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal departments. Key Skills: Technical/Engineering : • Review civil and structural designs, reinforcement details, shop drawings, and method statements. • Verify quantities and BOQ items against drawings and specifications. • Understanding of concrete works, earthworks, roads, foundations, and infrastructure utilities. Contracts & Commercial : • Prepare and review civil SOWs, BOQs, and support cost estimations where required • Analyze variation orders and extension of time claims related to civil works and provide technical input. • Ensure civil scope is clearly defined and coordinated with other disciplines in contract documents. Negotiation & Communication : • Negotiate with civil subcontractors on rates, quantities, construction methods, and schedules. • Draft and review technical correspondence, site instructions, and civil-related contractual clauses. • • Strong coordination and communication skills with Planning, Contracts, Projects, and HSE teams.
