About The Role Codeninja is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain software applications. In this role, you will work with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user and business needs and turn them into dependable technical solutions. You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from discussing requirements and evaluating technical approaches to releasing and improving products. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, writing clear and maintainable code, and learning new tools and methods. You can balance independent work with open communication and collaboration, and you are comfortable adapting as priorities evolve. Qualifications We are looking for candidates with a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Applicants should have professional or demonstrable project experience developing software with one or more programming languages and a working understanding of common data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Successful candidates will have experience using version control, such as Git, and be familiar with testing, debugging, and code review practices. Knowledge of web technologies, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, or modern development frameworks is valuable, depending on the needs of the project. You should be able to explain technical concepts clearly, ask thoughtful questions, and work constructively with teammates. A willingness to learn, receive feedback, and take responsibility for delivering reliable work is essential. Responsibilities In this position, you will: • Develop, test, document, and maintain software that meets agreed requirements and quality standards. • Collaborate with product and design partners to clarify user needs, assess trade-offs, and plan practical solutions. • Participate in technical discussions and contribute to decisions about architecture, implementation, and maintainability. • Review code, provide constructive feedback, and apply feedback received from other team members. • Identify, investigate, and resolve defects, performance concerns, and other technical issues. • Write and maintain automated tests and technical documentation that support reliable development and future maintenance. • Contribute to code quality, security, and development processes through consistent engineering practices. • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support timely delivery. • Keep up with relevant technologies and share useful knowledge with the team.
