Electrical Site Engineer

Electrical Site Engineer Location: Sharjah, UAE Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 5+ Years Industry: Industrial / Plant Projects Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to oversee electrical installation activities, supervise site teams, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure work is executed according to project plans, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial or plant electrical projects, including substation installations, MV/LV systems, cable installation, and electrical troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities • Supervise substation installation and maintenance activities. • Coordinate with project teams, consultants, inspectors, and other departments to ensure smooth site execution. • Arrange and coordinate material and work inspections with consultant inspectors. • Ensure all electrical works are executed according to approved drawings, project schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures. • Supervise site manpower, allocate tasks, and monitor productivity. • Read and interpret Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical drawings. • Execute electrical works for industrial and plant projects. • Supervise the installation of MV/LV transformers and electrical panels. • Oversee MV/LV cable laying, glanding, and termination activities. • Supervise the installation of cable containment systems. • Identify electrical faults and coordinate troubleshooting and corrective actions. • Monitor work progress, material consumption, and site resource utilization. • Ensure timely completion of assigned site activities. Qualifications & Requirements • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial or plant electrical projects. • Practical experience in substation installation, MV/LV systems, transformers, electrical panels, and cable installation. • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and SLDs. • Strong site supervision, coordination, and communication skills. • Must currently be based in the UAE. • Must hold a valid UAE driving license. • Willingness to travel frequently to different project sites and client locations. • UAE project experience is preferred. • Proficiency in Hindi, Arabic, or other languages is an advantage.
