Procurement Engineer

Role Description: The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for residential and apartment building projects. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), negotiating pricing and terms, and preparing accurate purchase orders in line with project requirements and company policies. The role involves coordinating closely with engineering, project management, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, monitoring inventory levels, and resolving procurement-related issues. The Procurement Engineer will also analyze cost data, track supplier performance, and support continuous improvement of procurement processes to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to schedules. Qualifications • Ability to manage end-to-end procurement activities, including Supplier Evaluation and handling Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes. • Experience preparing, reviewing, and tracking Purchase Orders in a construction or engineering environment. • Strong Analytical Skills to compare quotations, assess cost-effectiveness, and support data-driven purchasing decisions. • Effective Communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, project teams, and internal stakeholders. • Knowledge of construction materials, building systems, and local procurement regulations in the UAE is an advantage. • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (especially Excel) for reporting and documentation. • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in construction procurement. • Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, suppliers, and UAE market prices. • Experience in quotation comparison, supplier negotiations, LPOs, and material procurement. • Excellent communication, coordination, and cost-control skills. • Willing to be based in Abu Dhabi.
