Mechanical Engineer

ROLE: Mechanical Engineer LOCATION: Dubai, UAE About the role: Own mechanical verification and drawings for a compact, factory-built infrastructure system. Turn process design into a buildable plant by checking thermal and hydraulic performance, specifying equipment and supporting fabrication and commissioning. Responsibilities: • Verify heat and mass balance, exchanger duties, approach temperatures, areas and design margins. • Size piping, pumps, valves, supports and skids; produce hydraulic and pressure-drop calculations. • Issue general-arrangement drawings, layouts, P&ID; mark-ups, isometrics and fabrication details for plant and technical hall. • Assess offered equipment, including used and ex-stock units, for condition, remaining life and fitness for purpose. Qualifications: • 5+ years in energy, industrial or packaged-plant engineering, including a project physically built and commissioned. • Thermal plant, exchanger, pumped-circuit and cooling-system experience; strong heat-balance, hydraulic, NPSH and materials-selection judgement. • Fluency in AutoCAD and a 3D package; able to issue drawings personally and work directly with fabricators at pace. Tools & Deliverables: • AutoCAD plus Inventor, SolidWorks or Fusion; Excel and HTRI, AFT Fathom, Pipe-Flo or defensible first-principles sizing. • Issue-ready calculations, GAs, layouts, P&ID; mark-ups, isometrics, supports, weld details, fabrication drawings, BOMs and line lists.
