Job Description GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and inspiring Business Studies Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. The Ideal Candidate Should: • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Studies, Business Management, Economics or a related discipline. • Have relevant teaching experience in IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), ICSE and IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). • Demonstrate a sound understanding of IB philosophy, inquiry-based learning and curriculum delivery. • Be confident in teaching business concepts, management, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship and related areas. • Create engaging lessons that connect business theories with real-world applications and current business trends. • Develop students' analytical, research, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. • Demonstrate excellent classroom management, communication and collaborative skills. • Be committed to student achievement, well-being and continuous professional development. Skills Description Skills and Competencies • Strong subject knowledge across Business Studies, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics and Entrepreneurship. • Experience in delivering the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), ICSE and MYP curriculum. • Excellent lesson planning, curriculum development and differentiated teaching skills. • Ability to make complex business concepts engaging through real-world examples, case studies and practical applications. • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. • Ability to develop students' research, presentation, communication and decision-making skills. • Proficiency in assessment design, evaluation and providing constructive feedback to support student progress. • Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom learning. • Excellent classroom management, interpersonal and communication skills. • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse academic team. • Passion for student engagement, academic excellence and continuous professional development.
