Hiring: Application Support Engineer - TCS BaNCS Insurance Location: Muscat, Oman Experience: 3-5 Years Notice Period: Immediate Joiners / 0-30 Days Only About the Role We are seeking a talented Application Support Engineer with strong experience in TCS BaNCS Insurance to provide first-level technical and functional support for core insurance applications. The role involves supporting users, resolving incidents, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across multiple insurance business lines. Key Responsibilities • Provide L1 application support for TCS BaNCS users across Life, Medical, Motor, and General Insurance modules. • Monitor incidents and service requests through ticketing tools and ensure SLA adherence. • Troubleshoot functional and technical application issues and perform timely escalations. • Execute SQL/PLSQL queries for data validation, analysis, and issue resolution. • Generate and validate daily transaction, reconciliation, and exception reports. • Support UAT testing, production releases, and post-deployment validations. • Coordinate with business users, infrastructure teams, and vendors for issue resolution. • Monitor application performance, logs, and alerts. • Assist in user training and provide functional guidance to business teams. • Maintain application documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles. Mandatory Skills ✅ TCS BaNCS Insurance (Mandatory) ✅ Application Support / Production Support ✅ Oracle SQL & PL/SQL ✅ Incident & Ticket Management ✅ Insurance Domain Experience (Life / Medical / Motor / General Insurance) ✅ React.js ✅ Node.js ✅ Express.js ✅ REST APIs & Integration Knowledge ✅ Strong Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills Good to Have • Java • Python • ServiceNow / JIRA • UAT & Release Management • Arabic Language Skills Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in TCS BaNCS Insurance Application Support. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
