WE ARE HIRING | PROCUREMENT MANAGER Location: Muscat, Sultanate of Oman Industry: Industrial / Manufacturing / Chemicals Nationality: Omani Nationals Only Experience: 5+ Years We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Procurement Manager to join a well-established industrial organization in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement operations, supplier management, contract negotiations, technical purchasing, and cost optimization, preferably within the industrial manufacturing or chemical sector. Key Responsibilities: • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, RFQs, quotation evaluation, purchase orders, and delivery coordination. • Develop procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely availability of materials, equipment, spare parts, and services. • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers. • Lead supplier contract negotiations, commercial evaluations, and vendor performance management. • Drive procurement cost savings, budget control, and purchasing efficiency. • Oversee technical procurement of industrial equipment, machinery spare parts, chemicals, and maintenance materials. • Coordinate international procurement, import documentation, logistics, and inventory planning. • Ensure procurement compliance, maintain accurate records, and monitor procurement KPIs. • Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Stores, Finance, and other departments. 🔹 Candidate Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience. • Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred. • Experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial plants, petrochemicals, or continuous-process industries is highly desirable. • Strong experience in technical procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management. • Knowledge of international purchasing, import procedures, Incoterms, and inventory management. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with SAP Business One or other ERP experience preferred. • Excellent negotiation, commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
