About The Job Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Sales Manager ensures comprehensive and complete coverage of own sales portfolio, covering all levels of accounts and all revenue streams within the account for a comprehensive client servicing, achieving targets and maximum productivity. Manages activities related to the sales functions with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. Achieves personal booking goals and makes recommendations on booking goals. Track record in exceeding targets with the ability to identify, implement and execute sales strategies and account plans. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: • Develops, acquires and manages business opportunities across relevant market segments and accounts in line with the hotel’s overall commercial strategy and business mix. • Proactively identifies new business opportunities and develops relationships with prospective and existing customers to drive revenue and market share. • Implements and executes agreed sales objectives, strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets. • Manages the sales process from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation, conversion and account development. • Quotes and negotiates rates and commercial terms for transient, long-stay, group and other business within established parameters and approved strategies. • Maximizes revenue opportunities through effective selling, upselling and cross-selling, while ensuring adherence to established selling strategies. As a Sales Manager, We Expect From You • Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment within Sales and Banqueting with proven records of closing sales. • Previous experience in the GCC an advantage. • Experience in representing hotel at trade shows and sales missions. • Must be excellent in using computer and well versed in all computer applications. • Mature and outgoing with excellent interpersonal skills for both external and internal customers.
