Specialist Ophthalmologist – Surgeon | Oman

A leading healthcare group in Oman is seeking experienced Specialist Ophthalmologists with strong surgical expertise to join its medical team. Four positions are available for candidates with proven hands-on experience in one or more ophthalmic surgical procedures. Role Overview The selected candidates will be responsible for diagnosing and treating eye conditions and performing specialized ophthalmic surgeries based on their training and expertise. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. • Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures independently within the candidate’s area of specialization. • Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-ups. • Provide appropriate treatment plans based on patients’ clinical needs. • Monitor surgical outcomes and manage postoperative complications. • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical and patient safety standards. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Surgical Expertise Required Candidates must have active, hands-on experience in at least one or more of the following procedures: • Cataract & IOL Surgery • Refractive Surgery: LASIK / SMILE / PRK • Vitreoretinal Surgery • Glaucoma Surgery • Corneal Surgery • Oculoplastic Surgery Requirements • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology. • Proven experience as an Ophthalmologist with surgical expertise. • Currently performing at least one or more of the listed surgical procedures, with demonstrable hands-on experience. • Strong clinical and surgical skills, with an updated surgical logbook preferred. • Male and female candidates are welcome to apply.
