Market Data Analyst

Main tasks • Manage and maintain market data services and End-of-Day pricing processes, ensuring reliable access to accurate and timely market information across the business. • Oversee relationships with approximately 50 market data vendors, exchanges, brokers and service providers, including contract negotiations, renewals, user access and compliance requirements. • Manage market data procurement, licensing and cost optimisation, monitoring usage and identifying opportunities to reduce costs while ensuring alignment with business requirements. • Support trading, analytics, risk, finance and operations teams by coordinating data requests, resolving data issues and ensuring continuity of critical market data services. • Implement and improve processes for market data governance, contract and licence management, entitlement management, inventory tracking, cost allocation, reporting and internal controls. • Lead market data projects, system enhancements, onboarding of new data sources and coordination with IT and relevant stakeholders. Qualifications & Competencies required • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. • Professional qualifications related to Financial Markets, Market Data Management, Procurement, Vendor Management, or Project Management would be advantageous. • 3-10 years of experience in market data management, market data operations, vendor management, data procurement, or a related function within a commodity trading, financial services, energy trading, banking, or capital markets environment. • Proven experience managing market data vendors, contracts, licensing agreements, and entitlement processes. • Experience working with trading, risk, finance, operations and technology teams in a fast-paced environment. IT-Skills • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau. • Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools. • Familiarity with market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv/LSEG, ICE Data Services, CME, Platts, Argus, or similar providers. • Experience with data inventory, contract management, procurement, and reporting systems. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
