Senior QC Engineer MEP

Position: Senior QC Engineer – MEP Project: Railway Project We are looking for an experienced Senior QC Engineer – MEP to join our railway project team in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of MEP installations throughout construction, inspection, testing, and commissioning. Job Description • Lead and monitor quality control activities for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards. • Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, material submittals, and quality control documentation. • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality requirements. • Monitor the installation and inspection of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, electrical, and other MEP systems. • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, construction teams, and other railway disciplines to resolve quality-related issues. • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions, and inspection observations. • Monitor material inspections, testing procedures, and MEP testing and commissioning activities. • Conduct quality audits and ensure timely closure of inspection comments and punch-list items. • Maintain quality records, prepare inspection reports, and ensure proper documentation for project handover. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. • Minimum 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience in MEP construction works. • Previous experience in railway, metro, or major infrastructure projects is mandatory. • Strong knowledge of MEP installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning procedures. • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ITPs, Method Statements, MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, and quality documentation. • Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. • Strong technical reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
