Orthopaedic Surgery Consultant

Job Summary The Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon is responsible for providing specialized medical and surgical care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and disorders. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing complex orthopaedic cases, performing surgical procedures, and ensuring high standards of clinical care, patient safety, and treatment outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal injuries, deformities, and orthopaedic conditions • Perform elective and emergency orthopaedic surgical procedures in accordance with clinical privileges and approved standards • Develop individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical management, and provide postoperative follow-up care • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Radiology, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, and other surgical specialties Qualifications • Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) with recognized postgraduate specialization in Orthopaedic Surgery • Valid SCFHS professional classification and registration as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon • Must have experience in either Arthroplasty (Joint Replacement Surgery) or Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery • Hospital experience with a strong background in multidisciplinary patient care is required Show more Show less
