Art Curator

What would you need to know about a place before choosing its first artwork? Its history? The people who will spend time there? How does the light move through it? What it hopes to become? At Notion Art, these questions begin the curatorial process. We’re looking to connect with experienced curators who have developed art programs for destinations, hospitality, and real-estate projects—people who can translate an understanding of place into a clear curatorial direction and carry it through to delivery. The work You will research the identity and context of a place, develop curatorial narratives, identify artists, and shape collections and commissions. You will work with clients, architects and designers to consider how artworks relate to scale, materials, movement and everyday use. Your judgment will also inform the practical decisions: artist briefs, budgets, fabrication, installation, interpretation and the long-term care of the work. What we’re looking for A portfolio that demonstrates experience beyond exhibition spaces. You should be able to explain why an artwork belongs in a particular setting, how you developed the artist relationship, and how your decisions responded to both the curatorial ambition and the realities of the project. We value rigorous research, strong writing, thoughtful artist selection and the ability to collaborate across disciplines. Knowledge of Saudi and regional artistic practices is particularly relevant to our work. Introduce us to your thinking. Send us your CV and two relevant projects.
