One of our clients in Al Ain is looking for Procurement Officer. The Procurement Officer is responsible for executing controlled, timely and commercially responsible procurement activities across the Group’s multiple F&B brands, outlets and support functions. The role ensures that approved goods and services are sourced at the required quality, specification, quantity, price and delivery timeline while maintaining supplier discipline, complete documentation and compliance with the Group’s approval and financial controls. The position supports uninterrupted operations by coordinating purchase requirements, quotations, supplier evaluation, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, discrepancy resolution, cost comparison and procurement reporting, while protecting the Group from unauthorized purchasing, avoidable cost, poor-quality supply and supplier dependency. A. Purchase Requisition Review & Control • Receive and review approved purchase requisitions from outlets and departments before initiating procurement. • Verify item description, specification, quantity, required delivery date, requesting entity/outlet, cost centre or other required information. • Challenge incomplete, duplicate, excessive or unclear requests and obtain clarification before proceeding. • Confirm that requests follow the approved authorization process and do not create unauthorized financial commitments. • Consolidate recurring requirements where practical to improve purchasing efficiency and commercial leverage. B. Sourcing & Supplier Identification • Source suitable suppliers for food, beverages, coffee-related items, packaging, cleaning materials, operational supplies, equipment, services and other approved business requirements. • Identify alternative suppliers to reduce single-source dependency and strengthen supply continuity. • Assess suppliers based on capability, product quality, pricing, lead time, availability, reliability, payment terms, service and compliance requirements. C. Request for Quotation & Comparative Evaluation • Obtain competitive quotations in accordance with company requirements and the nature/value of the purchase. • Ensure suppliers receive equivalent specifications and quantities so quotations can be compared fairly. • Prepare clear comparative statements covering unit price, total cost, VAT where applicable, delivery, payment terms, warranty, lead time and other material conditions. D. Negotiation & Commercial Terms • Negotiate prices, discounts, delivery terms, payment terms, minimum order quantities and other routine commercial conditions within delegated authority. • Seek cost savings without compromising approved quality, food safety, specification or operational requirements.
