Sales Engineer

Who We Are At BKN301, we build fintech solutions that enable banks, fintechs, and merchants to grow and innovate across emerging markets. We’re a London-based financial technology group, with offices in Milan (Italy), Doha (Qatar), and San Marino, and an international footprint that’s rapidly expanding. Working across multiple countries and markets, we bring together different perspectives, experiences, and expertise. This collaborative approach helps us innovate faster, adapt to change, and build better solutions for our clients. We move fast, think globally, and act as one team — transforming ideas into real, scalable fintech solutions every day. Why Join Us Joining BKN301 means becoming part of a fast-growing international fintech, where technology and people evolve together. Here, every idea counts: you’ll have a tangible impact on strategic growth initiatives, help expand our presence across key markets, and contribute directly to the company’s long-term success. You’ll join us at an exciting stage of growth in Riyadh, helping establish and expand our local presence while building strategic relationships and supporting BKN301’s long-term growth in the Kingdom. You’ll join a company that values each person’s contribution, gives space to experiment, and promotes an open approach to innovation — because our success comes from the people who make it possible. Your Role As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be the technical voice in our commercial conversations — the bridge between our product, our engineering teams, and our clients. You’ll make sure that what we’ve built lands the right way: whether that’s in a boardroom pitch, a live demo, or a deep-dive with a client’s technical team. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to turn our solutions into what each client actually needs to hear. A few examples of your responsibilities • Deliver live demos and technical walkthroughs adapted to each prospect’s environment and use case. • Dive deep with client engineering teams on APIs, webhooks, data flows and Swagger/OpenAPI specs — and handle the tough questions with confidence. • Produce the decks, architecture diagrams, demo environments and RFP/RFI responses that push deals forward. • Collaborate with Sales and Product to define solutions and address technical objections. • Take part in discovery calls and client workshops to steer the right solution from the very start. • Recognise when to loop in Product, Solutions Architecture or Engineering, and ensure a smooth handoff. • Bring client and competitor insights back to Product to keep our positioning sharp. What We’re Looking For Essential Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering or technical pre-sales, preferably in fintech or B2B SaaS. • Deep hands-on knowledge of APIs, JSON, integration patterns and system architecture — comfortable going technical with any engineering team. • Strong presentation and communication skills: clear, confident and compelling in front of any audience. • Proven ability to translate complex technical features into narratives that resonate with non-technical stakeholders. • Sharp instinct for when to lead the conversation and when to escalate to an engineer. • Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic. Nice to Have • French language skills. • Background as a software engineer or developer. • Experience in banking, payments or open banking. • Familiarity with RFPs/RFIs and enterprise technical workshops. • An international mindset and ease working across different cultures and markets. Soft Skills That Make a Difference • Collaborative mindset and team spirit. • Proactivity and problem-solving attitude. • Curiosity and adaptability. • Clear and confident communication. • Strong sense of ownership and accountability. What We Offer • Competitive, market-aligned compensation. • Performance-based incentive structure. • Opportunity to play a key role in establishing and growing BKN301’s presence in Riyadh. • You’ll be among the first members of our Riyadh team, helping build our local presence, develop strategic relationships, and support long-term growth in the market. • The role will initially be remote, with a planned transition to a hybrid working model as our Riyadh operations continue to grow. • Dynamic and international environment, built on trust, collaboration, and ownership. • Real impact on global fintech transformation projects. • Continuous growth and learning opportunities within a fast-evolving and innovative group. Our Hiring Process • Intro chat with HR – to get to know each other. • Technical interview with our team – to explore your engineering background, skills and approach. • Conversation with our Sales team – to assess your commercial mindset and alignment with the role. • Final feedback – transparent, timely, and respectful. Every hiring process is a chance for mutual learning and growth. Our Culture At BKN301, we believe innovation thrives when different perspectives meet. Working across multiple countries and markets, we value collaboration, mutual respect, and the unique contributions that help us build stronger teams and better products. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing a fair and inclusive environment for all. Show more Show less
