JOB DESCRIPTION – ASSISTANT MECHANIC (OUTBOARD ENGINES) Alboom Marine KSA – Fanateer, Al Jubail Position: Assistant Mechanic – Outboard Engines Reports to: Mechanical Technician / Workshop Supervisor Location: Al Jubail (workshop and marina calls) Employment: Full-time ROLE SUMMARY Support the Mechanical Technician in servicing and repairing outboard engines, and carry out routine maintenance independently once trained. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in engine servicing, repairs, overhauls, and new engine rigging. • Perform routine maintenance under supervision: oil and filter changes, gear oil, impellers, spark plugs, anodes, flushing. • Remove and refit engines, lower units, propellers, and controls. • Prepare engines and boats for work: washing, flushing, mounting on stands. • Collect parts from store against job cards and return unused parts. • Clean and maintain tools, engine stands, and the mechanical work area. • Join sea trials and marina service calls. • Record work done and parts used on job cards. • Follow HSE rules for fuel, oils, and lifting. REQUIREMENTS • Technical institute certificate or equivalent experience. • 1–2 years experience in outboard, motorcycle, or small engine mechanics. • Basic knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines. • Willing to learn and work toward handling services independently. • Valid Saudi driving licence is a plus. • Basic English or Arabic. • Transferable Iqama preferred.
