Role Description The Welder Assistant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Jiddah, with some work-from-home tasks such as documentation, reporting, or job planning as needed. In this role, the assistant supports welders with preparation and clean-up of work areas, including setting up tools, materials, and safety equipment. Daily tasks may include handling and organizing metal components, basic cutting or grinding under supervision, and assisting with positioning parts for welding or fabrication. The Welder Assistant helps maintain equipment, performs routine inspections for wear or damage, and reports issues to senior team members. The role also involves following safety protocols, keeping accurate records of work performed, and communicating clearly with supervisors and colleagues to support efficient job completion. Qualifications • Ability to safely assist with welding and fabrication tasks, including handling tools, materials, and equipment under supervision. • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and metalworking processes. • Commitment to workplace safety, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures. • Strong organizational skills to manage materials, maintain a clean work environment, and support efficient job setup and breakdown. • Effective communication skills to follow instructions, ask clarifying questions, and coordinate with welders and supervisors. • Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments, including outdoor and workshop settings. • Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop skills in welding, fabrication, and related trade practices. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or a similar trade is an advantage. • Reliable transportation to work sites in and around Jiddah and availability for full-time schedules, including occasional extended hours as needed.
