Senior Electrical Engineer – Facilities Management Function: FM Operations Reports To: Engineering Operations Manager Experience: 5+ Years Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Key Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership for electrical engineering operations across the project. • Manage electrical systems including substations, switchgear, generators, UPS, lighting, emergency power, earthing, and lightning protection systems. • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical assets in line with applicable standards and statutory requirements. • Lead asset lifecycle planning, condition assessments, renewal recommendations, and reliability initiatives. • Manage in-house technicians, engineers, contractors, and vendors. • Conduct site inspections and monitor work quality, timelines, safety, and compliance. • Support preventive maintenance and specialist system testing. • Oversee emergency power readiness, contingency planning, and response to critical electrical failures. • Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. • Support reporting on asset condition, lifecycle plans, financial performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience within Facilities Management or Building Services, including senior-level responsibility. • Strong knowledge of substations, switchgear, generators, UPS, emergency power, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection. • Knowledge of PPM, SFG20, asset lifecycle management, condition assessment, and reliability-centred maintenance. • Understanding of relevant standards such as IEC, NFPA, NEC, and local electrical safety regulations. • Familiarity with CAFM / CMMS systems such as Maximo. • Strong contractor/vendor management, reporting, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills. • PMP, LEED, Society of Engineers membership, or similar professional certification is an advantage.
