Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION The Inventory & Business Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory performance and providing business and operational analysis to support effective decision-making. This role focuses on inventory planning, forecasting, KPI management, business reporting, and process improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and improve business performance. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Inventory Planning & Analysis • Maintain optimal inventory levels across raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods while minimizing stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence. • Analyze inventory trends, aging, slow-moving inventory, excess and obsolete (E&O) stock, and inventory turnover performance. • Identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency and working capital performance. • Support inventory reconciliation activities and inventory performance reviews. Business & Financial Analysis • Support inventory-related financial reporting, inventory valuation, provisions, adjustments, and inventory control activities. • Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and POR targets to identify performance gaps and business risks. • Investigate operational and financial variances and provide meaningful insights to management. • Collect, validate, and analyze business and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and improvement areas. • Develop analysis and recommendations to support informed business decisions. Reporting & KPI Management • Prepare and maintain inventory, operational, and business performance reports. • Monitor key performance indicators including inventory value, inventory turnover (ITO), inventory accuracy, shortages, aging, and E&O inventory. • Develop dashboards and management reports using ERP and business data. • Provide regular updates and business insights to leadership teams. Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Support • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, automation, and operational processes. • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management and business performance. • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, Customer Service, and other functions to improve operational effectiveness. • Support business planning, forecasting, and operational review processes. For This Role, You Will Need • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Experience in inventory management, business analysis, operational reporting, or supply chain functions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience working with ERP systems and business reporting tools. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart • Experience with inventory planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization. • Knowledge of inventory accounting principles and financial reporting. • Experience with data visualization and dashboard development tools. • Familiarity with ERP systems, manufacturing operations, and supply chain processes. • Experience supporting process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
