We are seeking a Site Engineer to supervise the day-to-day execution of project and maintenance work in the field. The role manages two Foremen and their trade crews and handles fit-out and renovation projects alongside routine and emergency maintenance. There is no separate maintenance team: the same crews move between planned project work and reactive callouts, allocated daily through a central dispatch desk. The position reports to the Operations Manager and draws on the Engineering & Consulting department for technical guidance. It suits an engineer who is genuinely field-based and able to hold a multi-national trade workforce to standard. Key Accountabilities • Site Supervision & Execution Supervise daily execution of fit-out, renovation, and maintenance work across assigned sites. Direct two Foremen and their crews to complete work safely, on time, and to specification. Inspect workmanship, material usage, and compliance with drawings and specifications daily. Resolve on-site technical issues; escalate complex problems to the Operations Manager or Engineering. • Project Coordination Assist the Operations Manager in preparing project plans, schedules, and material take-offs. Track progress and report status, delays, and issues. Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and subcontractor activities on site. Maintain daily logs, progress photos, punch lists, and handover records. • Maintenance Oversight Oversee routine and emergency work orders assigned through the dispatch desk. Ensure work orders are completed within agreed response and resolution times. Inspect completed maintenance work before sign-off. Report recurring defects and recommend preventive action. • Workforce Coordination Manage daily crew assignments in coordination with the dispatch desk. Monitor attendance, productivity, and overtime of assigned Foremen and crews. Provide on-the-job coaching to Foremen and tradesmen. Report performance issues and recommend corrective action. • Safety & Compliance Enforce site safety standards across all assigned work. Conduct toolbox talks and pre-work safety briefings. Report and document incidents; participate in investigations. • Other Perform any other duties reasonably required by the Operations Manager that are consistent with the scope of this role. Competencies Core: ▸ Construction Supervision — Hands-on supervision of civil, MEP, and finishing trades ▸ Technical Knowledge — Ability to read drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities ▸ Maintenance Operations — Understanding of work order systems and preventive maintenance ▸ Site Management — Practical knowledge of site logistics, materials, and subcontractor coordination ▸ Safety — Knowledge of construction and maintenance site safety requirements Soft: ▸ Leadership — Ability to direct and motivate Foremen and trade crews in the field ▸ Communication — Clear communication across management, engineering, and trade levels ▸ Problem Solving — Practical approach to resolving site issues quickly ▸ Organisation — Ability to manage multiple sites and tasks simultaneously Languages: ▸ Arabic — Required ▸ English — Proficient, required. Job Specifications Industry: General Contracting / Facility Management / Engineering Consultancy Experience: ▸ 4 to 6 years of experience in construction site supervision, facility maintenance. ▸ Experience must have been gained in contracting, construction, engineering consultancy, or facility management environments ▸ Experience directly supervising multi-trade crews of electricians, plumbers, masons, and finishing trades ▸ Familiarity with daily site reporting and material management.
