Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to provide civil engineering design, consulting, and technical advisory services within our Engineering & Consulting department. The role supports operating entities, institutional projects, and private development projects, with expertise in structural assessment, construction supervision, facility planning, and infrastructure design. The Civil Engineer also provides technical guidance to the Operations department on civil works. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Engineering, suited to an engineer early in their career who is ready to own deliverables end to end and work across both desk and site environments. Key Accountabilities • Civil Engineering Design & Consulting Prepare civil engineering designs, calculations, and specifications, including structural elements, foundations, drainage, and site works. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and condition surveys for existing and proposed facilities. Provide technical consulting on civil infrastructure, including tanks, wells, piping, building modifications, and facility layouts. Support institutional projects with civil design input and owner's representative services. • Drawing Production & Review Prepare and review civil drawings in AutoCAD and coordinate with drafting resources. Ensure drawings comply with the Saudi Building Code, municipal regulations, and project specifications. Maintain revision control and documentation for all civil deliverables. • Technical Support to Operations Provide civil engineering support for fit-out, renovation, and maintenance projects. Advise on structural modifications, load-bearing assessments, and construction methods. Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals for civil works. • Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with the MEP Engineer on multi-discipline projects. Liaise with external engineering offices, contractors, and municipal authorities. Prepare technical reports and assessments as requested by the Head of Engineering. • Other Perform any other duties reasonably required by the Head of Engineering that are consistent with the scope of this role. Competencies Core: ▸ Structural Design — Competence in structural analysis, foundation design, and reinforced concrete detailing ▸ AutoCAD — Proficiency in AutoCAD for producing and reviewing civil drawings ▸ Building Codes — Working knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and municipal requirements ▸ Site Assessment — Ability to conduct condition surveys and structural evaluations of existing buildings ▸ Construction Knowledge — Practical understanding of construction methods, materials, and site supervision Soft: ▸ Analytical Thinking — Methodical approach to engineering problems and practical solutions ▸ Communication — Clear technical writing and ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders ▸ Attention to Detail — High accuracy in calculations and drawings ▸ Teamwork — Ability to work within a small engineering team and alongside Operations staff. Experience: ▸ 4 to 6 years of experience in civil engineering design, site supervision, or consulting ▸ Experience must have been gained in contracting, construction, engineering consultancy, or facility management environments ▸ Experience with structural design, facility assessment, and construction supervision in commercial or industrial settings ▸ Familiarity with fit-out and renovation work is an advantage.
