Role Overview: The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new business through outbound calls and lead follow-ups. The role involves introducing company products and services, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored sales pitches to convert leads into customers and consistently meet monthly sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Outreach • Conduct outbound calls to potential customers from provided leads on a daily basis, ensuring consistent call volume in line with targets. • Identify and qualify prospective customers based on their needs, budget, and purchase intent. • Follow up with interested leads according to a set schedule, rather than on an ad-hoc basis. Sales & Customer Engagement • Introduce company products and services clearly and persuasively to prospective customers, highlighting key features and benefits. • Understand customer needs through active listening and probing questions, and tailor sales pitches to address their specific requirements. • Handle customer objections professionally and provide accurate information to move prospects through the sales funnel. • Close sales and consistently work towards achieving assigned monthly sales targets. • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and act on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products/services. Reporting & Coordination • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and lead statuses in the designated system/CRM. • Provide regular updates to the Supervisor/Head of Department on pipeline status, conversion rates, and challenges encountered. • Escalate recurring customer concerns or process gaps to the Supervisor for resolution. Flexibility & Adaptability • Work under pressure in a target-driven environment while maintaining quality of customer interaction. • Demonstrate flexibility to work shifts and overtime as business needs require. • Carry out any additional tasks or changes to responsibilities as communicated by the Supervisor or Head of Department. Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in outbound sales, telesales, or business development, preferably in a target-driven environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone. • Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills. • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM or lead management tools. • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment. • Resilience and self-motivation to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
