Role Overview CCL Global is seeking an experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor to support a major international engineering organisation on projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide commercial and quantity surveying support across both tendering and post-award project delivery, with responsibility for cost estimation, BOQs, subcontractor evaluation, measurement, variations, claims and project cost control. Location: UAE Contract: 6 months Sector: Power / Utilities Key Responsibilities • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs). • Support civil cost estimation, bid pricing and tender submissions. • Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract documentation. • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare commercial comparisons. • Support EPC tendering and commercial bid preparation. • Measure and verify completed works. • Manage subcontractor measurements, valuations and payment assessments. • Assess and manage variations and claims. • Support progress payment certification. • Monitor project costs and prepare monthly commercial/cost reports. • Support contract administration throughout project delivery. • Assist with final account preparation and close-out. Essential Requirements • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering. • 5–8 years' relevant Quantity Surveying experience. • Experience within infrastructure, utilities, industrial, power or substation projects. • Strong experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and cost estimation. • Tendering and subcontractor bid evaluation experience. • Post-award experience covering measurement, valuations, variations, claims and cost control. • Ability to interpret civil/structural drawings, specifications and contract documents. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with relevant QS tools/software. • Understanding of EPC contracting and tendering environments. • Experience on transmission and distribution substations or other major power projects. • Previous UAE utility/project experience. • Experience supporting projects for major UAE power, utility or energy organisations.
