We are looking for an experienced Local HSE Officer to join our team. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards across construction sites. Key Responsibilities • Conduct routine HSE inspections across construction sites and deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions. • Identify hazards, maintain risk registers, and recommend corrective and preventive measures. • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company policies, and applicable safety regulations. • Conduct safety training and orientations for employees, contractors, and visitors. • Monitor proper PPE usage and maintain PPE issuance and tracking records. • Conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, first aid equipment, and other safety requirements. • Investigate HSE incidents, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective actions. • Prepare site inspection reports, incident records, Learn From Incident (LFI) alerts, and monthly HSE reports. • Provide professional HSE guidance and support to employees, contractors, and operations teams. Skills • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices. • Hazard identification and risk assessment skills. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills. • Ability to conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and orientations. • Strong report writing, documentation, and data analysis skills. • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. • Basic firefighting and first aid skills Requirements • 2-5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within construction sites. • Experience in implementing and maintaining Health & Safety systems, policies, and procedures. • Valid driving license. • Advanced English language skills and Arabic. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering or Diploma in Health & Safety/Fire & Safety. • Relevant accredited HSE certification. • NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH CI certification.
