Architect / Design Coordinator

KEN International Project Management LLC is seeking an experienced Architect / Design Coordinator to join our UAE team as part of our continued growth and expansion. The role is primarily focused on design coordination and design management, supporting complex, high-profile projects and working closely with high-profile clients, international architects, specialist consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. The position is focused on design coordination, design management and technical integration rather than concept design. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design information, managing interfaces between disciplines, tracking design deliverables and supporting the resolution of technical and coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate architectural design information across architecture, structure, MEP, interiors, façade, landscape and specialist disciplines. • Act as a key coordination interface between clients, international architects, consultants, contractors and specialist designers. • Participate in and support design meetings, technical workshops and coordination sessions with local and international stakeholders. • Review architectural and multidisciplinary design packages for coordination, completeness and technical consistency. • Identify design conflicts, discrepancies and interface issues and follow through until resolution. • Review drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs and other technical documentation from a coordination and design-intent perspective. • Monitor design deliverables, consultant submissions, design trackers and outstanding actions. • Support the Project Manager and Design Manager in managing design priorities, technical decisions and stakeholder communication. • Coordinate design changes and ensure that approved design intent is maintained during the construction stage. • Support authority coordination and statutory submissions where required. • Prepare clear technical comments, meeting inputs, design reports and coordination records. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. • Approximately 5–8 years of relevant professional experience. • Strong background in architectural design coordination and multidisciplinary project coordination. • Experience working on high-end residential, hospitality, luxury or complex building developments is highly desirable. • Previous experience coordinating with international architects, specialist consultants and multidisciplinary design teams is advantageous. • Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and BIM coordination processes. • Excellent understanding of architectural detailing, interfaces, construction documentation and design implementation. • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills. • Excellent written and spoken English. • UAE/GCC experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
