Director of Operations

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead the operational mobilization, readiness, and ongoing operation of major venues and destination assets across Saudi Arabia. The Operations Director will be the General Manager’s principal lead for venue operations and ensure the venue is safe, operationally ready, efficient, resilient, and consistently capable of delivering exceptional events and customer experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead day-to-day and event-day venue operations. • Develop and maintain the Venue Operating Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and event-readiness processes. • Oversee operational planning for events, ensuring effective coordination across various functions. • Ensure venues are fully ready for guests, spectators, and partners. • Manage crowd control, access, emergency planning, and incident response. • Collaborate with health, safety, security, and risk teams for compliance. • Build and lead a high-performing operational organization while nurturing local talent. Requirements • Significant senior operational leadership experience within major venues or high-footfall environments. • Previous experience as an Operations Director, Venue Director, or equivalent. • Strong experience with large-scale event operations and emergency planning. • Proven experience managing third-party service providers and complex service contracts. • Strong budget management and cost-control capabilities. • International operating experience is advantageous.
